I have enjoyed photography for more than thirty years. Many years ago I traded in all my Olympus OM2 cameras and lenses and bought my first digital camera, a Canon G6. I have since acquired a Canon G11 for travel photos and a Nikon D80 (converted for infared),D7100 and D750 plus several lenses for more serious photography around my home base.
I am a member of the Richmond Photo Club and CAPA, the Canadian Association for Photographic Art. I am the past Competitions Chair for the Club and a former Field Trips Coordinator for CAPA, Pacific Zone.
I have an interest in black and white photography but also make good use of my Nikkor 105 for macro shots. Location photography and nature are also subjects of interest. I have won awards for photos submitted to club sponsored and CAPA competitions.
I spent my working life as a geologist for an international mining company that sent me to many places around the globe. At some point I'll compile my archive of negatives into digital format.

I am certified by CAPA as a photo judge. I regularly judge for camera clubs in the greater Vancouver area and also do online judging. If you or your club would like my services as a judge, either on-line or on location in SW British Columbia please contact me using the email address below.
